- Hi Jim!
-
- I'm guessing we see about 1 ATV related message every three months
- or so ... (This has been a banner month!) I don't think we'd have
- any luck getting a newsgroup passed.
-
- On the other hand, maybe a mailing list would be a good way to collect
- up those people interested and keep them in touch. If, say, ten people
- (in the whole wide world) wrote me and told me they were interested,
- I'd setup and run the mailing list from here ... Hey! Maybe there already
- is a mailing list ???

- Magellan reports readings that are several hundred meters
- off in elevation as well as location. The elevation wanders
- as thou it can't decide. Is this normal for GPS equip?
- Thanx in advance

- Well, I got mine wet, and the LED stayed on constantly. I disassembled
- it and it is a one chip circuit board with a tiny button and led.
-
- I am going to let it dry out and try again. Has anyone ever played
- with these things and a spectrum analyzer to get a feeling for what
- comes out?
-
- The chip is probably proprietary, but is there any reason to think otherwise?
-
- The unit is 1986 vintage. Unknown model or warranty info. It came with
- a used car.
-
- Yeah, I know car alarms are pretty useless. Maybe I need a GPS receiver
- and a pk88 wired to my mobile rig. When I get my first $100000 car I'll have
- to do that.
