  47. I'm guessing we see about 1 ATV related message every three months
  48. or so ... (This has been a banner month!) I don't think we'd have
  49. any luck getting a newsgroup passed.

  51. On the other hand, maybe a mailing list would be a good way to collect
  52. up those people interested and keep them in touch. If, say, ten people
  53. (in the whole wide world) wrote me and told me they were interested,
  54. I'd setup and run the mailing list from here ... Hey! Maybe there already 
  55. is a mailing list ???

  70. Magellan reports readings that are several hundred meters
  71. off in elevation as well as location.  The elevation wanders
  72. as thou it can't decide.  Is this normal for GPS equip?

  276. Well, I got mine wet, and the LED stayed on constantly. I disassembled
  277. it and it is a one chip circuit board with a tiny button and led.

  279. I am going to let it dry out and try again. Has anyone ever played 
  280. with these things and a spectrum analyzer to get a feeling for what
  281. comes out?

  283. The chip is probably proprietary, but is there any reason to think otherwise?
  284.  
  285. The unit is 1986 vintage. Unknown model or warranty info. It came with
  286. a used car.

  288. Yeah, I know car alarms are pretty useless. Maybe I need a GPS  receiver
  289. and a pk88 wired to my mobile rig. When I get my first $100000 car I'll have
  290. to do that.
